Pixelink provides drivers for FireWire, GigE and USB interfaces on Windows operating systems, and for USB 3.0 interfaces on some Linux operating systems. Once the camera drivers are installed, Pixelink cameras will work as soon as they are connected. As well as supporting the camera and the Pixelink Application Programming Interface, the FireWire and USB drivers are DirectShow compatible.
Camera drivers are installed when Pixelink Capture or the Pixelink SDK is installed. After installing the camera software, your FireWire or USB camera should be detected when you connect it to the computer. GigE drivers and cameras may require some configuration before use. See:
If your camera is not detected after installing our camera software, please see the Camera Not Properly Detected In Windows article for troubleshooting tips.
