Pixelink provides drivers for FireWire, GigE and USB interfaces on Windows operating systems, and for USB 3.0 interfaces on some Linux operating systems. All drivers provide plug and play functionality. As well as supporting the camera and the Pixelink Application Programming Interface, the FireWire and USB drivers are DirectShow compatible.
Camera drivers are installed when the Pixelink Camera Kit or SDK is installed. After installing the camera software, your FireWire or USB camera should be detected when you connect it to the computer. GigE drivers and cameras may require some configuration before use. See:
- Desktop Installation Guide
- Configure a GigE camera to work directly connected to your NIC
- Instructions for Installing PixeLINK GigE cameras - Multiple GigE cameras / multiple port
If your camera is not detected after installing our camera software, please see the Camera Not Properly Detected In Windows article for troubleshooting tips.
