PixeLINK® Expands USB 3.0 Camera line to include support for Linux.
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada –June 4, 2015 – PixeLINK®, a global provider of industrial cameras for the machine vision and microscopy markets, today announced its support for Linux operating system for its highly successful line of USB 3.0 cameras. Complementing its existing Microsoft Windows support for its USB 3.0 CMOS camera line, PixeLINK now offers full support for the Linux Ubuntu operating system. By supporting Linux Ubuntu, PixeLINK customers can use the PixeLINK SDK in both the Linux Ubuntu and Microsoft Windows operating environments.
One PixeLINK customer that has adopted Linux support is NASA. PixeLINK worked cooperatively with NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) to meet their needs. PixeLINK cameras running on a Linux platform are now being incorporated into future NASA systems.
