Pixelink does not currently compute Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) reliability statistics for Pixelink cameras or for the imaging sensors used on these cameras. In general, cameras that fail do so during the integration phase when they are more subject to things like electrostatic discharge, physical damage, improper grounding, excessive shock or vibration, or in the case of extended head units, the ribbon cable getting disconnected. This is to be expected as they are all solid-state devices and as such are not subject to normal "wear and tear" over time. For this reason, Pixelink does not compute MTBF statistics, which can potentially be misleading. Instead, Pixelink provides a warranty and service/support model to address any issues or failures encountered by the customer.
