In theory, GigE Vision allows an infinite number of cameras to be connected. In practice, however, the number of cameras depends on the bandwidth (MByte/sec) being sent from each camera; Image resolution x frame rate = bandwidth, and the ability of the host systems to process this amount of data. GigE’s maximum transmission bandwidth is 125 Mbyte/sec.


Our current driver limits the number of simultaneously connected GigE cameras, to 16.
