What behavior can I expect if I choose not to add the program Windows Firewall exception list and to not disable Windows Firewall.

For GigE cameras, the program will not be able to stream the camera using ‘Jumbo Packets’, even if your Network card has Jumbo Packets enabled.  This will result in less than optimal camera performance.  Additionally, you will not be able to update the camera firmware, nor run the FFC Wizard (for PL-B cameras).

When running the application, the following popup may appear.

When prompted, it’s important to check to allow communication over all three network types, as in the screenshot above.  If you do not enable these from the pop up (or if you've missed the pop up), this can also be done via the Windows Firewall program.
