Problem
With the PL-A740 camera series when you save an AVI or Image capture with a given frame rate in Capture OEM, You obtain only half of the frame rate set in Capture OEM.
Solution
This is unfortunately a "known issue" that cannot be fixed with the PL-A740 cameras but is now fixed with our PL-B740 cameras. The frame rate control does not work properly because it does not take into account the exposure time, it only takes into account the frame readout time PLUS, there are times where bandwidth concerns also lower the outputted frame rate from the desired one. The only way to actually get a particular frame rate is to play with the control until the histogram shows that you are getting the frame rate you desire.
